Parkade Party

Initiating an idea about a rooftop parkade patio party, I co-founded an event in a unique setting. The idea kicked off with an Awesome Edmonton Foundation grant of $1000 in January of 2013. With persistence and enthusiasm, we serendipitously teamed up and became part of Blink Edmonton. On August 31, 2013, we transformed a downtown Edmonton parkade rooftop to a place for people. Over 400 attendees visited and donated to the Boyle Street Community Services’ Downtown Proud. The evening featured a classic film screening of Grease, music, zumba and swing dance lessons, food, and a cookie eating contest with the incredibly generous support from numerous sponsors.
